Be Still was written in the late 80's during a small youth worker retreat I was attending. It is one song that I need to play and listen to frequently. Our entire Christian life flows out of our relationship with God. But how can it exist at all if we aren't intentional about making time and space for it in our busy worlds. Psalm 46 is a good one to look at in relationship to listening to this song. By the way, at camps I frequently play this song and tell a story about my cat KC. I hope the song encourages you to simply "be still and know.....

Be Still
By Billy Isidoro
Chorus-
In the hustle and confusion of the world and it’s ways,
Listen to the voice of God and you will hear Him say,
Just be still and know that I am God (2x’s)
Verse 1
Why should you hurry,
When you don’t even know where you’re going to?
Tell me why should you worry,
Don’t you know He’ll be there when its all through?
And you don’t even know which way the wind blows,
Can’t you learn to trust, to trust, the One that knows?
Verse 2
Oh the world will confuse you,
Till you don’t even know what’s wrong and right.
And it does it so smoothly,
You won’t even put up a fight.
Until you take the time to know the One.
Who was revealed through His only begotten Son.
Bridge
Still we just go chargin’ ahead so sure we know it all.
Never taking time to listen is it any wonder that we fall.
But God has a better way if you listen you will find.
But there is a price a sacrifice, You must give God your time.
