This song was written while I was working as the Director of Music and Youth Ministries in Kermit Texas under Reverend David Weyant. The symbol of the star has always fascinated me.   I've done several recordings of this song including a 2002 recording  I put on a self-released CD called "Go Tell" . I did this recording last year and played with the arrangement a little bit.  I hope you enjoy it!

Can you see the star the tiny star, Shining in the dark?

For it’s the star the tiny star that shone o’er Bethlehem.

And despite the darkness of this world it’s light will not be overcome.

For the light that lit our saviors birth will still light your way today.

Since the time of Adam God has had a plan,

To reconcile Himself with His precious fallen man.

So out of His love He sent His Son to bring us again to Him,

To give us a chance for love and peace and break the bond of sin.
