When The Waves Come Crashing In

Verse 1

A sunny day,and a clear blue sky,

Not a care in this world, No need to question why.

Then suddenly foundations are shaken, suddenly things aren’t so clear.

Suddenly our hearts are braking,

And there’s no worldly power against the fear.

Chorus

O Lord on the days when the waves come crashing in,

And life is crushed and broken all around.

When hell breaks loose and the shadow of death seems to win,

And there’s no strength left to stand our ground..

In the dreadful silence when life makes no sense

Oh we need Your presence Lord to be our defense,

Help us find the faith, dare to seek Your face, help us carry on somehow.

Verse 2

Lord how can this be? Do You even care?

As we cry for help, are You even there?

Skeptics say You don’t exist. On days I fear I agree.

But a still voice beckons, there’s so much more to this than I can see.

I believe Someone hears our questions. Somebody knows our fears.

And on that day the “Final Answer”, will dry away our tears.
